An information service about cosmetic and personal-care products. It tells you what a product's ingredient list says, what those ingredients do, and what the published EU cosmetics rules say about them.

It is not a medical service. It does not diagnose anything, it does not give individualised medical advice, and it does not tell you whether a product is safe for you. For a health concern or a reaction, speak to a pharmacist or a doctor.

We work hard on the information and we tell you how confident we are in each record. But formulations change without the barcode changing, they differ between markets, and our coverage is incomplete. Where a product matters to you, check the pack in your hand.

Where a record is wrong, tell us. There is a report link on every product page, and a person reads every correction.

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has used your account.

New accounts get five free analyses. After that, a subscription is €1.99 per month. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Your history and saved products stay readable whether or not you subscribe.

If you send us product information, the contribution terms set out what we may do with it. In short: we may use factual product information to improve the catalogue, and we do not claim ownership of anything else you send.

Use BeautySignal as a person looking at products. Don't scrape it, don't automate against it, and don't try to extract the catalogue in bulk. Usage limits apply.
